Audio Transfer In South Bay

Our Expert Audio To CD Transfer Process

We follow a clear, step-by-step workflow to ensure the best possible sound quality.

  • Initial Inspection: We check each tape or record for damage or issues that may affect the transfer. If we find a problem, we contact you to explain the issue and discuss repair options.
  • High-Quality Playback & Capture: We run your audio through professional playback decks and capture it in real time to preserve clarity and detail.
  • Audio Evaluation & Cleanup: We review the recording in editing software and apply basic audio restoration to reduce noise, correct speed, or fix minor defects.
  • Final CD Creation & Labeling: We burn the finished audio to a 100-year archival CD and label it according to your instructions. Longer cassettes are split across two discs as needed.

Audio CDs can hold up to 74 minutes of recording time. For 90 minutes audio cassettes to CD, we will have to break up the tape onto two CDs in order to process the order. Typically, after the audio transfer, we would put side A of the cassette on one disc, and then side B of the cassette onto the other disc. We can combine or mix your audio in any fashion you choose.

Track Splitting For Easier Playback

We can divide your audio into individual tracks so you can skip between songs or segments on your CD or digital files. This feature is especially useful for music recordings, interviews, and event tapes so you can choose what to listen to when.

Basic Audio Editing To Improve Sound Quality

Our editing tools help correct common issues found in older analog recordings. Technicians can perform:

  • Speed Adjustments, Either Faster Or Slower
  • Removal Of Unwanted Noise Or Chunks Of Audio
  • Custom Track Splitting
  • Static, Hum, & Hiss Reduction
  • Pop & Click Reduction On Vinyl

These corrections create a cleaner listening experience and bring out the detail in your original recording.

Audio Restoration For Heavily Aged Or Damaged Recordings

If your audio suffers from more serious issues, such as distortion, dropouts, mechanical noise, or advanced physical degradation—more than just the pops and clicks from dust on the surface—our advanced audio restoration service can help. We use specialized software, plug-ins, and manual editing techniques to recover clarity and reduce distracting artifacts.

Our South Bay team handles everything from worn cassettes to fragile reel-to-reel tapes and long-stored vinyl. Restoration cannot fix every flaw, but we can often improve recordings far beyond what you may expect.

Transferring Audio To MP3 & Other Digital Formats

CDs are convenient for many customers, but we can also create custom digital files that match your preferred format and settings. Available options include:

  • MP3
  • WAV
  • AIFF
  • Apple Lossless

You can choose bit rate, channels, and hertz. If you bring your own flash or hard drive that contains data, a small setup fee applies. There is no fee when using a new or empty drive or purchasing one from us.
